Global Community Associate

Reporting to the Global Community Manager, the Global Community Associate plays a vital role in supporting and engaging our nonprofit community. You'll be part of the Global Community Program and Partnerships Team, which is dedicated to:
- Building meaningful relationships by actively listening to nonprofit leaders, responding to their needs, and creating trusting partnerships.
- Empowering partner success through fundraising opportunities, peer connections, and resources that help strengthen communities according to each organization's unique vision and goals.
- Creating accessible pathways that welcome new partners and provide the support they need to thrive on our platform from day one.
- Providing exceptional support with prompt, relevant, and human-centered responses to partner questions and challenges.
- Driving strategic engagement through segmented communication strategies that deepen our understanding of our nonprofit community and enhance our ability to serve their evolving needs.
Primary Responsibilities

Community Engagement (60% of role)
- Implement partner communications: Execute the creation and delivery of partner communications, including targeted support for community fundraising initiatives.
- Support fundraising experiences + training: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance partner fundraising success through workshop design, practical resource development, and post-experience data analysis.
- Cultivate a thriving learning community: Strengthen community connections by engaging in community spaces, gathering actionable feedback, and facilitating enriching interactions that enable partners to succeed.
- Coordinate partner connections and learning: Plan and facilitate impactful partner events, including skill-building workshops and personalized 1:1 support sessions.

Community Support (40% of role)
- Deliver stellar partner support: Provide timely, helpful responses to nonprofit partner inquiries while ensuring powerful storytelling through careful review of fundraising projects and donor reports.
- Support partner onboarding: Guide new partners through a streamlined onboarding experience by managing targeted invitations and providing hands-on support to help partners successfully launch their first projects.
- Provide community operations support: Support critical platform operations, including strategic project selection for donation reallocation, partner verification processes, and technical troubleshooting to ensure optimal user experience.
Required Qualifications
For our team to be a great fit for you, the following qualifications should resonate with you:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, with a demonstrated passion for communications, relationship building, and community-led impact.
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas clearly, listen actively, and collaborate effectively to develop thoughtful solutions.
- Technical proficiency with communication platforms and the ability to quickly grasp new systems and processes. Experience with Mailchimp and/or HubSpot is a plus.
- Customer service experience with a compassionate, service-oriented approach. Familiarity with Zendesk and Salesforce is valued.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail, adaptability, and proven ability to manage priorities effectively in dynamic environments.

Preferred Qualifications
In addition, the ideal candidate would also have some or all of the following qualifications:
- Experience using storytelling to enhance fundraising campaigns and donor communications
- Experience working outside of the United States and/or cross-cultural experience
- Multilingual capabilities
Salary + Benefits
Salary range: $55,000 - $60,000

Location
This is a full-time position reporting to the Global Community Manager. GlobalGiving is a hybrid workplace allowing for frequent remote work. Candidates based in the greater Washington, DC area and those strong candidates who wish to work remotely are welcome to apply.
