Sheriff's Public Information Officer

The San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department is recruiting for Public Information Officers who plan, prepare, and disseminate information on the activities, services, and objectives of the Sheriff's Department to the news media and the public. Duties include preparing and updating news releases regarding highly sensitive or confidential matters; answering public inquiries on departmental procedures, investigations, or activities in person, by telephone, or in writing; assisting in the preparation of reports or informational publications about the Sheriff's Department, including researching, writing, and coordinating the photography, layout, and printing; and overseeing the daily activities of the Sheriff’s Media Unit.
