Construction Estimating Intern
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare bids for small to medium commercial projects
- Prepare quantity survey takeoff, pricing summaries and makes calls for work associated with major divisions of projects
- Reads and interprets contract documents relating to the assigned major divisions
- Prepare accurate quantity surveys and pricing summaries
- Review estimate/sub quote files to gain information for current bids
- Solicitating subcontractor/vendor pricing information
- Prepare leveling spreadsheets and coordinates with estimating bid team members for bid day
- Log and files bid documentation after bid day for estimate/sub quote file

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both verbal and written communication
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Display strong time management and decision-making skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with estimating software such as Sage, Building Connected, and ProCore
