Creative Intern
Location: Chicago/Hybrid with Tues/Thurs in-office and Wed WFH/Paid Internship
We’re on the hunt for a sharp, imaginative Creative Intern to join our team for the Fall. As a designer with a killer eye, this role will have you working alongside art directors, copywriters, and strategists to bring bold ideas to life.
Key Responsibilities
- Support team members in their respective department
- Participate on a specific semester-long project kicking off with a briefing and ending with a presentation to senior members of the agency
Details
- Hours would be 9:00am - 5:30pm on Tuesday (in-office), Wednesday (WFH) and Thursday (in-office)
- Sept 9 - Oct 23 (7 weeks)
- Average pay in Chicago for ad interns is $18/hour
Potential Projects
- Create a plan to better brand Point B on LinkedIn and other social channels. What social channels should we be in? How often and with what type of content? (thought leadership/agency updates/etc.) What should it look like? Sound like?
- Do a deep dive into senior living as a category. Who are the largest players? What are some trends in this space?
- Video showing Point B capabilities in the senior living space and case studies where using video drove results
- Through the course of the internship, schedule 1:1 meetings (or shadow for 1 day) with a team member in each department to fully understand specific roles within the agency
What You’ll Do:
- Assist in developing concepts for ads, social content, branding, and campaigns
- Support the creative team with mockups, decks, and content creation
- Contribute to brainstorms and creative reviews
- Help with revisions and production-ready assets
Who You Are:
- A student (rising senior) or recent grad in advertising, design, communications, or a related field
- Passionate about storytelling and big ideas
- Open to crafting dynamic, compelling copy
- Open to feedback, collaborative, and hungry to learn
- Adept in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Bonus: You’ve got a portfolio (even if it’s still growing)
