SPORTS TV BROADCAST RUNNER ROLES IN WASHINGTON DC - JULY 2025 - LOCAL ROLE

Working within broadcast with the WTA Media Team at the Mubadala Citi Open in Washington DC. 

An entry level role which would be suited to someone who already has experience working in retail or service industries. Key attributes would be:  good common sense and initiative, good communication and team work skills to work with a variety of people in our international team.  

We are working as a team to film all of the matches and non live content of the tennis tournament so its a great opportunity to learn about TV Broadcasting of live sports and events. It's fast paced but fun.

This role would require someone who is able to drive (with own car), physically fit and able to move around site helping with some of the following tasks (not limited to these): 

  • Purchasing snacks and other items offsite
  • Looking after the crew break area, keeping it neat and tidy
  • Making teas and coffees for crew working in the gallery
  • Taking food orders from the crew (paying for meals on behalf of crew on or offsite) and bringing these to the crew
  • Making Ice towels and delivering to crew around site as needed
  • Collecting and delivering water to crew around the site if needed.
  • Helping out with any tasks moving items, setting up and packing up.
  • Occasional help to the camera crew if needed

Two Runner Roles: 

Role 1: Sunday 20th – Sunday 27th July

Role 2: Monday 21st – Friday 25th July

Hours likely to two shifts as follows: 09:30 - 19:30 or 11:30 - 21:30 depending on shift but both would need to be covered by either runner per day Monday - Friday.

$200 USD paid per day ($20 P/HR Based on a 10 hr day)  

We would also reimburse some money towards fuel costs for the week.

Due to the nature of the event we can only accept applications from people who are available to work all of the dates and hours above of either role.
