Vice President of Sales 

Outova, headquartered in the Dallas/Fort Worth (Texas), Texas market, we are seeking a talented Vice President of Sales.  

 

Position Overview: 

The Vice President of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic sales initiatives, and managing a high-performing sales team. This individual will lead and scale Outova’s sales organization across all eight portfolio companies. This role requires a seasoned sales leader with deep experience in consumer products, preferably in outdoor living or adjacent categories, who can develop cross-channel strategies, grow key accounts, and lead high-performing teams. 

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Develop and execute a multi-brand, multi-channel sales strategy aligned with Outova’s growth goals.  
  • Lead and mentor sales leaders and teams across all portfolio companies.
  • Manage and expand national retail and distribution accounts, as well as D2C sales initiatives.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and operations to ensure alignment on go-to-market plans.
  • Analyze sales data, customer trends, and competitive landscapes to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic partners and key accounts.
  • Establish and manage KPIs to ensure team accountability and performance.
  • Oversee forecasting, budgeting, and reporting for the entire sales function.

 

Qualifications:  

  • 10+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, ideally in consumer goods or outdoor living.
  • Proven success in managing sales teams across multiple brands or business units.
  • Deep knowledge of retail, dealer, and D2C sales channels.
  • Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • High sense of urgency and strategic mindset.
  • Experience with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Physical Activities: 

Daily activity includes but is not limited to:  

  • Prolonged periods working at a computer.
  • Occasional travel to vendor sites, trade shows, or distribution centers (domestic and international).
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs on occasion (e.g., product samples or materials).
