Job Description: 

Responsibilities:

The Accounting Coordinator/Specialist reports to the Finance Manager, and performs tasks such as credit card reconciliation, creating deposits for multiple entities, creating new tax registrations with multiple state agencies, compiling and downloading monthly reports and bank statements from QuickBooks and Paycom, as well as verification of internal account balances.

Required Skills:

This role will require a basic knowledge and understanding of accounting principles such as credits, debits, equity, and liabilities. 

Applicants must be familiar with payroll taxes (SUTA, FUTA, FICA, and W/H. 

The successful candidate should have a basic knowledge of QuickBooks desktop version, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite.   

Exceptional planning and organizational skills are required, as well as a positive, professional approach to a fast paced, team-oriented work environment with dynamic priorities. 

Candidates will be required to handle confidential information with discretion

Education:

The successful candidate should have achieved an Associate or Bachelor degree in accounting, or amassed experience equivalent thereto including Principles of Accounting, Payroll Accounting, Principles of Taxation, and QuickBooks.
