
FWS Marketing, Social Media, and Communications Intern
Requirements:
This internship is part of the Transforming FWS Internship Program and has been approved as a REAL Level 3 Experience, meaning your successful completion of this experience in 2025–2026 will satisfy your REAL graduation requirement. As part of this experience, you must:
- work at least five hours per week (hands-on learning) in your role;
- engage in eight monthly mentoring sessions facilitated by your supervisor-mentor;
- engage in three reflection activities facilitated by your supervisor-mentor; and
- complete a pre-, mid-, and post-internship survey.
Additional eligibility/requirement: You must be planning to be a full-time student in Fall
2025 and Spring 2026, as interns will work for the full academic year
- Knowledge of or experience working with undergraduate students and a multigenerational environment
- Proficient in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for social marketing
- Proficient computer skills (Excel, Google Platform, Data entry technology, PowerPoint, Word, Internet, and Search engines)
- Demonstrated organization, interpersonal, customer service, a self starter, and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have the ability to lift 20 lbs and walking materials across campus with a cart
Preferred:
- Knowledge of or experience working with transfer or adult undergraduate students
- Experience in social media creation, newsletter creation, or event management
Rate
$13.50/hour, minimum of 5 hours per week
