Tree Climber/Arborist

Position Overview We’re seeking an energetic, safety-conscious Climbing Arborist to join our field operations team. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced arborists to perform tree maintenance, removals, and inspections—scaling canopies, operating machinery, and learning the art and science of arboriculture.

What You’ll Do

  • Climb trees using ropes, saddles, and safety gear to prune or remove branches
  • Operate chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
  • Conduct tree risk assessments and help identify health concerns
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Collaborate with crew members to ensure efficiency and communication

Who You Are

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Forestry, Environmental Science, Horticulture, or related field
  • Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Physically fit with a strong work ethic and a passion for trees
  • Basic understanding of tree species and pruning techniques a plus
  • Prior field experience or certifications (e.g., landscaping, tree-trimming, CPR/First Aid, OSHA 10) are helpful but not required—we'll train the right person
