Communications & Administrative Intern

2nd Chance Inc.

Location:
Remote (with occasional virtual meetings)

Internship Type:
Part-time | 15–20 hours/week
Unpaid experiential learning, Federal Work Study (FWS) eligible, or Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

Position Overview:
2nd Chance Inc. is seeking a motivated and organized intern to support our growing nonprofit as we expand our coaching and workshop offerings. This role is ideal for students interested in nonprofit work, communications, or entrepreneurial environments. You'll gain hands-on experience in digital operations, communications, and media outreach while contributing to a meaningful mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Send and manage professional emails

Organize and maintain digital forms and records

Schedule appointments and keep calendars up-to-date

Create media information for upcoming workshops, events, and shows

Post and engage with content on Alignable, a new networking platform

Attend biweekly virtual team meetings

Provide weekly updates to your supervisor

Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in a college or university (FWS/CPT eligible or seeking experiential learning)

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed

Familiar with platforms like Canva, Google Workspace, Zoom, and social media (a plus)

Interest in coaching, personal development, or nonprofit work preferred

Learning Outcomes:

Learn how to engage audiences on emerging digital platforms

Collaborate in a dynamic, mission-driven team environment

Develop transferable professional skills for careers in coaching, nonprofit management, or business operations
