Design Intern

About the Role

Studio Mosaic is seeking an intern to join their Design Team. You’ll join a small team of creatives who work towards a common goal of creating exceptional, human first brands and products for wonderful clients. You’ll gain on the ground experience in developing creative for everything from start ups to cultural institutions and will learn how to execute deliverables across multiple verticals.

These verticals include web and mobile, as well as social, merch, and even stadium experiences. Our team thrives when our visual voice comes to life, so you will be encouraged to bring your vibe to the team.The ideal candidate wants to work on projects that do good in the work for real people across environmental, advocacy, and nonprofit clients.

Design Assistance:

  • Bringing your voice to the design process by helping with typographic, color selection, and image sourcing.
  • Brainstorming and developing creative concepts for design projects.
  • Creating lo- and hi-fi mockups based on guidance from the team.
  • Preparing final creative for print and digital use, following vendor specifications.

Visual Content Creation:

  • Designing social media graphics, presentations, and marketing materials.
  • Editing photos and images for various design projects.
  • Creating or sourcing icons, illustrations, or other visual components as needed.

Research and Support:

  • Bringing your own voice to the table through the lens of trends and competitor analysis.
  • Assisting with mood board creation to establish the visual direction for projects.
  • Gathering and organizing design resources like fonts, stock photos, and style guides.

Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience, preferably in a student or agency environment.
  • Experience working on cross-functional teams, specifically with developers and product managers.
  • Comfortable taking iterative approaches to wire-framing and prototyping.
  • Able to work with a diverse toolkit, with a strong background in Figma.
  • Care deeply about the details of designs and having a high level of fit and finish.
  • Participate in design critique by sharing and receiving constructive feedback.

Compensation

This is a paid internship that starts at 20.00/hr.
