Full-Stack Developer

🚀 About the Role

Join Neighborly to build a rental platform that rewards users. You’ll work with a small, mission-driven team to:

Develop the core web app (React + Node.js) with a focus on Document approval, listing search, rewards tracking, and credit-building tools.

Integrate APIs like credit bureaus (Experian), payment processors (Stripe), and mapping (Mapbox).

Ensure FAIR Act compliance in fee structures and landlord-tenant flows.

Optimize for mobile-first UX (80% of users will be on phones).

🔧 Tech Stack (Flexible!)

Must-Haves:

Frontend: React.js (Next.js preferred), TypeScript, Tailwind CSS

Backend: Node.js, Express, Firebase (or Django/Python if stronger)

Database: PostgreSQL or Firebase Firestore

APIs: RESTful design, Stripe integration experience a plus

Nice-to-Haves:

Familiarity with rental APIs (Zillow, RentPath)

Basic knowledge of credit-reporting systems

UI/UX sensibility (Figma collaboration)

👀 Who We’re Looking For

You’re a problem-solver who thrives in ambiguity (early-stage startup energy!).

You’ve built at least 1–2 full-stack projects (personal or freelance counts!).

You care about housing affordability and want to disrupt rental tech.

You’re resourceful (e.g., used ChatGPT to debug, leveraged free-tier tools).
