Duration: Mid-Aug to Mid-February (6 months)
Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours, hybrid model, minimum 2 days on-site required 
Location: Boston, MA

Position Overview

Progress Partners seeks a motivated Marketing & Communications Intern to join our boutique investment banking firm. Working directly under our Marketing Director, you'll gain valuable B2B marketing and communications experience in the financial services sector while supporting our firm's positioning at the intersection of media, marketing, and technology.

Core Responsibilities

Communications & Content Management (40%)

  • Implement ongoing communications for email newsletters and LinkedIn
  • Support thought leadership materials and market commentary development
  • Assist with presentation decks and client-facing materials
  • Convert meeting notes into structured content for various platforms

Administrative & Process Management (30%)

  • Maintain marketing documentation and digital asset organization
  • Update tasks, workflows and process documentation
  • Track marketing metrics and compile reports
  • Coordinate internal communications and calendar management
  • Support team and assist with immediate client needs, as they emerge

Digital & Design Support (20%)

  • Update website content using WordPress
  • Create graphics using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Format documents, presentations, and marketing collateral
  • Perform website quality control, including reviewing, proofreading, and checking links on websites before
    publishing

Special Projects (10%)

  • Lead assigned co-op initiative with clear deliverables
  • Support event planning and execution as needed
  • Assist with research and competitive analysis
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in college or university Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Responsive communication style with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Professional demeanor appropriate for financial services environment
  • Organizational skills and process-oriented mindset

Preferred Skills

  • AI Literacy: Experience with LLMs and their practical applications in marketing, content creation and process optimization
  • Proficiency with Canva, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Drive and DropBox
  • Experience with WordPress website host and content management systems
  • Understanding of B2B marketing in professional/financial services
  • Interest in investment banking, technology, and/or media sectors
