
Receptionist
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and callers at McWane Ductile – New Jersey. This position is responsible for greeting guests, managing incoming calls, providing general administrative support, and maintaining a professional and welcoming front office environment. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, and capable of handling a variety of administrative tasks with professionalism and efficiency. The responsibilities listed below are representative of the essential functions of this role. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support business operations:
Pay Rate between $18.00 and $23.00
Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls to appropriate departments or individuals.
Monitor visitor sign-in process and issue visitor badges in accordance with company policy.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of front reception area.
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.
Assist with outgoing mail, shipping labels, and coordinating package pickups.
Maintain calendars and assist with scheduling meetings or appointments as needed.
Support HR and other administrative staff with clerical tasks including filing, scanning, and document preparation.
Maintain an updated directory of internal extensions and emergency contact lists.
Ensure compliance with company safety and security protocols at all times.
Assist with other administrative projects and tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
1–2 years of receptionist, administrative, and customer service experience. (required)
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Dependable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
