Arts Management Intern
Create Portage County is seeking interns for full-time and part-time positions with various focus areas. Ideal candidates will be dynamic, flexible, and excited about Create’s mission: accelerating creativity, connection, and collaboration to advance vibrant and welcoming communities. These internship positions will be paid and tailored to each individual’s interests, skills, and learning goals.
Event Support
Intern is responsible for assisting in hospitality and event operations for The Basin Short Film Fest, Stevens Point Pride, Stevens Point Juneteenth, Levitt AMP, Make Music Day and more. This work includes pre-event meetings with staff, setup and teardown assistance, managing tech and logistics during the event, social and storytelling needs (if applicable).
Social Media & Content Creation
Work with create staff/board member to create social media calendar
Develop content for Facebook, Instagram, and potentially other platforms
Be present at key events and work with volunteers
Interviews or other interactive campaign materials as planning in partnership with Create staff
Work with Create staff on developing podcast and video interview content
Produce podcast or interviews
Find stories and points of interest to cover

Create Portage County functions in a historic renovated convent, featuring coworking, rentals and events.
CREATE is a co-working and makerspace in the heart of Stevens Point (1300 Maria Drive) and is a launchpad for ideas that expand entrepreneurship to include the arts, business, community impact, and personal development. CREATE is committed to dismantling demographic barriers that have historically limited access to creative work by offering the following members:
Co-working and private spaces. Host an event, conference, or collaborative meeting. Multiple spaces are available for free to our members, or for a small fee to non-members.
Maker spaces, from audio recording, graphic design, and filmmaking to 3D design and printing, we provide members the tools to pursue innovative skills and grow their personal or professional capacity.
A continuously evolving network. Innovation is fluid and responsive. Members develop ideas and passions as part of a community.
Potential projects and interest areas include:
Coordinating meetups and member groups usage of the space
Explore how folks are using the space and what additional support that could need
Manage gear rental system
Promote and manage pop up movie screenings
