Gibbs Education Intern

For the upcoming Fall 2025, the Brandywine Museum of Art seeks undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in American art for experiential learning opportunities. Through practical museum training, hands-on projects, off-site field trips, and networking opportunities, interns will prepare for careers in the museum field.

For the Museum’s upcoming fall exhibition, Jerrell Gibbs: No Solace in the Shade, we are looking to hire two Education interns to support programs and interpretive materials.

The Education Department engages visitors of all ages with the museum’s collection and special exhibitions through dynamic programs and interpretive materials. This internship is an opportunity to learn more about museum education by working alongside staff to assist with designing and leading craft activities, scavenger hunts, adult gallery talks, and additional programs, specifically tying into our special exhibition open from September 28, 2025 to March 1, 2026, Jerrell Gibbs: No Solace in the Shade. Program audiences include children, families, and adults. This fall will include opportunities to plan for and deliver educational programs including Free First Sundays, Read-Aloud, and Art Chats. Interns will develop essential skills in museum interpretation, visitor engagement, and art supply management. An art or education related background is preferred but not required. This internship requires on-site work in Chadds Ford, PA but also has some work from home opportunities.
