Outside Sales Representative

$5,000 Signing-Performance Bonus for achieving targets in the first 120 days!

Base Salary: $35,000 plus uncapped commission
Total Target Compensation: $70,000 — $125,000

We're expanding our fiber optics service into new areas and looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Outside Sales (Residential Door to Door) Representatives.

Job Description:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling GONETSPEED products and services, including Fiber Internet, Home Phone, and DTV Streaming, to residential customers. You'll use your knowledge and sales skills to meet and exceed monthly goals by working effectively and efficiently in your assigned area.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Engage and acquire new customers through door-to-door sales.
  • Identify and target potential customers within designated towns/cities.
  • Communicate and develop rapport with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of features, benefits, product differences, pricing, and campaigns compared to the competition.
  • Evaluate individual customers' existing and potential product needs and make recommendations.
  • Maintain sales production to meet or exceed individual quotas.
  • Represent the company at community events in targeted markets.

Requirements:

  • Experience in direct sales, preferably in door-to-door sales, is nice to have but not necessary.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Must be able to work outside in any weather environment.
  • Must be available to work between the hours of 10 AM - 7 PM, equaling 40 hours per week.
  • Results-driven, self-motivated, and able to work independently with excellent attendance.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Valid Driver’s license and personal vehicle required. Local travel to prospecting locations in your own vehicle (Mileage Allowance provided).
  • Familiarity with the telecommunications or broadband industry and competitive landscape is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Enthusiastic learners of all our products and services.
  • Ability to always represent oneself and the company in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Strong in-person communication skills for face-to-face cold selling.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments and manage projects effectively.
  • Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to read computer screens and various reports (75-100%).
  • Must be able to hear well enough to communicate with employees and business contacts (75-100%).
  • Must be able to write, type, and use phone system (75-100%).
  • Frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing required (75-100%).
  • Occasional stooping and kneeling required (25-49%).
  • Occasional lifting, pulling, and pushing required (25-49%).
