Operations Intern

Location: Livite (Brookline) In Person and Remote
Start Date: Rolling (ASAP preferred)
Duration: 8–12 weeks, with possible extension
Hours per Week: 10 to 15

Livite is a growing fast-casual restaurant in Brookline serving smoothies, wraps, salads, and juices. As we prepare for a second location, we are hiring an intern to support operations, organization, and internal structure building. This is not a food service position. It is focused on behind-the-scenes process work.

The Operations Intern will work directly with the owner and managers on essential improvements to how the restaurant runs. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn about business systems, team coordination, and real-world operational strategy in a fast-paced setting.

 

Responsibilities

  • Write and organize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for core tasks like opening, prep, cleaning, and catering
  • Build structured task checklists using Operandio (our digital task software)
  • Help document kitchen prep flow, recipes, and weekly inventory processes
  • Identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies through observation and propose solutions
  • Organize cleaning and maintenance schedules and weekly recurring tasks
  • Optional: support basic marketing, signage, or training material creation if desired
  • Optional: assist with financial models and basic forecasting if comfortable with Excel or Google Sheets

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong writing and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and interest in systems and structure
  • Clear communicator, comfortable asking questions
  • Self-starter who is proactive and curious
  • Must be available to work in-person in Brookline

 

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

  • Interest in hospitality, entrepreneurship, or operations
  • Experience with Google Docs or task tools like Notion or Trello
  • Prior experience writing process guides or working on internal systems
