Location: Event-based (travel may be required)

 About the Role:

As a Drone Runner Intern, you’ll be a vital part of the on-site race crew — working directly with MLDR race officials, pilots, and production teams to ensure drones are safely and efficiently retrieved, reset, and prepped for racing.

This is a hands-on, high-energy internship that gives you direct exposure to the sport, the tech, and the team driving MLDR’s growth.

Responsibilities:

Retrieve crashed or landed drones from the race track after each heat

Safely transport drones back to the designated pit or pilot area

Assist with prop changes, battery swaps, and minor repairs (training provided)

Communicate with race officials and follow safety protocols

Help reset launch pads, flags, and track elements between races

Support broadcast or stage teams with small tasks as needed

Represent MLDR with professionalism and energy during events

What We’re Looking For:

Interest in drones, tech, esports, motorsports, or live events

Ability to move quickly and safely in dynamic environments

Attention to detail and respect for high-value equipment

Strong team mentality — willingness to help wherever needed

Flexible schedule and availability on event days (weekends likely)

Must be 16+ with parent/guardian permission (if under 18)

Bonus If You Have:

Experience with FPV drones or RC hobbies

Background in sports, esports, STEM, or event production

Strong communication or problem-solving skills

Love for high-speed competition and crowd energy
