Position: Case Manager

Location: Hopewell Center | Southern Ohio Educational Service Center


 

General Description:

The Special Education Case Manager is responsible for monitoring referrals and Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities. This position ensures compliance with federal and state regulations and collaborates with school staff, administrators, and related service providers to support student success. The Case Manager also plays a key role in ensuring timely documentation and reporting, while promoting access to services in the least restrictive environment across the region.



 

Qualifications:

 

High School diploma or equivalent

Strong organizational and communication skills

Training and/or experience in secretarial and office practice/procedures

Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow FERPA and HIPAA requirements

Ability to work independently across multiple districts or teams

Extensive knowledge of federal and state special education laws, policies, and procedures preferred

Experience in special education program monitoring, evaluation, and compliance is preferred

Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret and apply legal and policy frameworks

Excellent communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including educators and administrators

Must pass a criminal background check

Current driver’s license and reliable transportation

Days: 20 hours per week
