Photo/Video Editor

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Photo/Video Editor to join our creative team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about visual storytelling, with a sharp eye for detail and fluency in mobile-first editing tools like CapCut, Edits, or Canva. You’ll play a key role in producing vibrant, engaging content that resonates with our audience and elevates our brand across digital platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Source, edit and enhance a variety of photo and video content for our website and social media accounts.
  • Select the best takes, trim footage, add music, sound effects, graphics, and transitions to create seamless and impactful videos and reels.
  • Cut multiple edits for different platforms based on understanding the best practices for each of those platforms.
  • Perform color correction, retouching, and other image manipulations to ensure high-quality visual output that is on-brand.
  • Collaborate closely with content creators to understand the brand’s tone and audience.
  • Manage and organize digital assets efficiently, ensuring proper labeling and archiving.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, editing techniques, and software advancements.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and provide creative input on visual concepts.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and legal copyright requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Possess deep understanding of current social media platforms and best practices for creating engagement and performance on those platforms.
  • Resourceful and efficient with a proven ability to deliver high-quality content quickly and under tight deadlines.
  • Proven experience as a Photo/Video Editor, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard mobile-first video editing software like CapCut, Edits, or Canva.
  • Excellent understanding of color correction and grading to make videos bright, vibrant, and on-brand.
  • Sound editing skills to align video cuts to audio beats, using trending sounds effectively, and adjusting sound levels.
  • Ability to create clear, animated text overlays and motion graphics.
  • Deep understanding of Instagram Reels formatting and how to match fast-moving trends, formats, and hashtags accordingly.
  • Understanding of thumbnail creation and how that works within the Instagram grid view to attract clicks.
  • Excellent hook strategy focus to know how to grab attention in the first 1-2 seconds of a Reel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
