Product Photographer
JONATHAN Y is looking for a Product Photographer to join our studio based in Flemington, NJ. The ideal candidate is a visionary artist with a hands-on experience as a product photographer. This person will be responsible for all digital assets including styling, shooting and editing imageries to help expand our growing collection of high-quality home products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with photography team to create images and videos for product launches.
- Photograph a broad range of products utilizing several photography styles including still life, in-environment, on-model and silhouettes on white.
- Edit and/or retouch all eCommerce product images and video footage from photo shoots to select best for online and marketing use.
- Deliver rich, dynamic product images that adhere to technical standards and best practices while utilizing varied surfaces, textures and talent.
- Provide thumbnail sheets to buyers for approval of edited eCommerce product photo shoots.
- Follow detailed asset management and file naming practices.
- Assist in prop direction, sourcing and assemble pieces.
- Style projects to deliver the essence of each product clearly and concisely.
- Follow product and brand styling guidelines with minimal supervision.
- Maintain professional studio environment, including timely clean-up and organization of set, equipment and props.
- Operate capture computer during all photoshoots; process, supply, and archive all images captured.
- Operate, design and set all lighting grip equipment for in-house photo shoots.
- Ensure continuous operational use of lighting equipment (repair/replace all bulbs in all flash heads), grip equipment (ensure functionality of all stands, clamps, boom, arms, cables, etc.) and computer equipment
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of professional experience photographing products for eCommerce platform
- Professional-Level knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Photoshop (i.e. silhouetting, creating shadows, blending, filters, masks, etc.).
- Working proficiency with Premiere Pro
- Knowledge of studio lighting equipment (strobe, modifiers, etc.).
- Photo and video styling, editing, retouching and lighting experience is required.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills and ability to deliver deadlines
