I absolutely loved my job. The people at YouthWorks are dedicated to keeping a Christ centered environtment in the workplace. I was serving people in need every day, growing as a Christian, and refining my leadership skills.
What I wish was different
The location placement is chosen for you, and the people you work with are picked by a team as well. While this worked well for me, I think knowing the team ahead of time might lead to better experiences overall.
Advice
Only apply to this job if you are willing to be stretched, as it is a lot of hard work and intensive training right at the beginning to prepare you for the summer ahead.

What I liked
It was an amazing opportunity to grow as an individual. It helped with trouble shooting, team collaboration and communication, and with individual tasks such a as routines or responsibilities.
What I wish was different
That it had more options to run with/ develop personally (as a site) with.
Advice
Know that it will be hard, but if you stick it out it’ll be so rewarding and you will have learned so much.
