Merchandising: Modular Development

June - August 2017 • Bentonville, AR

What I liked

The experience was hands on. I got treated like a real corporate employee, was given access to secure information, and was incorporated in all department meetings and got to input my decisions on big topics. The culture was friendly, helpful, and inspired you to succeed. I would definitely recommend this to anyone, it was a truly worth while experience. I was even given perks such as being flown out to Puerto Rico with my manager to put my project into motion in the real world, in real Walmart stores to make a difference.

What I wish was different

I wish I was able to explore different areas with different projects more, but the company was so open I was still able to explore different areas I was interested in by contacting employees of that department if I wanted to.

Advice

Don't judge the offer or company by it's reputation. The business world is always changing and Walmart is doing amazing. This was the most rewarding and worth while internship I have heard of anyone having.
