The employees were very friendly there and one of them happened to even see me on campus, which I had no idea anyone from Kent worked there as well. Always keep a look out, might find someone you know elsewhere.

Self Checkout Attendant
May - September 2021 • Wilmington, DE
What I liked
The pay was great and my coworkers were all very nice. They also offer 1 hour breaks if you work more than 6hrs.
What I wish was different
Management was pretty rough, the job itself is stressful, customers could be incredibly rude.
Advice
I would recommend this job for seasonal or summer purposes. I think working at BJ's full time would be detrimental to your sanity.

Recovery Clerk
May - August 2022 • Williamsville, NY
What I liked
Friendly encouraging managers that encouraged me to perform my very best. Very understanding of employer's needs.
What I wish was different
A bit more training in terms of finding where objects are in the store would be nice. While new employees will generally learn where everything is within the first month, it makes it very awkward to interact with customers while your own knowledge is not much. This is minor because it could just be an expected part of the job.
Advice
Be prepared to do a variety of things depending on when you are scheduled.

June - September 2021 • Watchung, NJ
What I liked
I liked that it was relaxed and healthy work envirment with little to no bad expierences. The managers and fellow co-workers were very nice and helped when it was needed. I also liked helping customers on the job and being able to make their shopping expierence better
What I wish was different
I wish there were more workers as at times we were short-staffed which resulted in my co-workers and I having to make up for it.
Advice
My piece of advice would be to always look for something to do whether it be restocking shelves or putting away empty boxes. The job does get a little boring at times when there's nothing to do so I would recommend walking around and finding something to organize or asking a manager if there is anything to help out with. The job is a lot more enjoyable if you're working
