Camp North Star is one of the premier sleepaway camps in New England. We are the summer home to approximately 115 staff and 400 campers each summer. North Star prides itself in teaching our campers essential life skills that will help them grow as young adults and succeed back home after the camp season is over.
We pride ourselves in having a team of youth development professionals who are dedicated to being positive role models who guide, teach, and mentor our campers. Most staff enter the camp season expecting to gain skills supervising campers. By the end of the summer, staff realized they have gained valuable leadership skills in other areas including communication, organization, event planning, and teaching. The most rewarding parts of the experience for staff is the difference you make in a child's life and the strong bonds you create with fellow staff and campers.
