The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is Virginia’s largest full service sheriff’s office. In Virginia, being a full service sheriff’s office means that we handle not only the jail, courts, and civil process but that we are also the primary law enforcement agency for Loudoun County and has a patrol division. We’re located at the very top of Virginia about 40 minutes from DC. Dulles Airport straddles Loudoun County and Fairfax County.
We hire recruits as full time employees prior to the academy. Your one year probationary period starts on your hire date- most recruits will spend ¾ of their probationary period in training (6 month academy + 3 months on the job training). You are paid a salary while in the academy and receive the same benefits that any other deputy receives.
